REALISING RESILIENCE

REALISING RESILIENCE

Training is the technical part of what we do but at the core we develop people. We facilitate and train groups and teams of people to find improved ways of doing things so that they’re inspired, engaged and ready to use their learning. We understand that each organisation is different and so all of our training sessions can be adapted to the needs of your school and your staff. We don’t believe in ‘one-off’ training all our learning is built to last and effect change. All our coaching training has been approved by the ilm.

Advanced Coaching Program

This ilm approved programme builds on the coaching fundamentals to focus on enhancing the coach’s self-awareness and coaching techniques, refining both practice and skill to develop a coaching style of leadership.  Over the three-day course* we’ll also study best practice of coaching in schools, enabling delegates to design robust structures for building a coaching culture within their own setting.

*Included in this course delegates will receive a coaching book, personal 17 page DISC® Profile, support tasks between sessions to reflect and enhance the coaching experience, coaching tools and models and an ilm certificate on completion.

Quality coach training is a crucial part of becoming a successful coach-leader, delegates who attend the course will be fully equipped to lead coaching within their schools or MAT and have a clear plan of action for doing so.

10/10 delegates would recommend it to others. In the past two years this course has supported over 100 leaders in their coaching style and practice.

Resilient Leaders, Resilient Schools

Schools can be ever-changing and stressful environments, and the challenges they present can truly test any person’s tenacity. What’s interesting though is that some leaders not only comfortably ride out these waves of difficulty, but they even find success in them. How do these leaders manage the storms and guide their metaphorical ships to safety? The quality or characteristic they own is often defined as resilience.

This  two-day programme educates school leaders and managers in resilience; what resilience is, what can challenge our resilience and how we can develop resilience.  We will take action to improve our ability to manage challenging circumstances and support our colleagues and organisations to be more resilient.

Learning outcomes:

Attendees will:

  • Gain a better understanding of what resilience means, what factors are present when we are resilient, and what is absent when we are not.

  • Become familiar with why resilience in the workplace is important in the current climate.

  • Understand the importance of our levels of emotional intelligence and our personal values.

  • Gain insight into what challenges our resilience and explore both personal and professional examples of challenges through researched models.

  • Access tools and techniques we can develop our resilience and understand the importance of our thinking.

  • To trial and reflect on resilience techniques and look more broadly at how we can develop resilient teams and organisations.
